Our Story

Curious about how Holroyd Wealth Management came about, here's our backstory

  • Anthony’s interest in finance began at an early age. During school runs with his dad from the age of seven, Radio 4’s Today programme was always on (not exactly his first choice of station back then!). Whilst the political news of the day often passed him by, it was the 8:25 AM financial markets update that piqued his curiosity. That early exposure sparked a lifelong interest in economics, global markets, and the positive impact sound financial planning can have on people’s lives.

Since joining the industry in 1999, Anthony has worked in a variety of roles across the financial planning profession—from a smaller advice firm and a national advice business, to private banking, an international high street bank, and a global fund manager. This breadth of experience has given him a rarer, 360-degree perspective on wealth management, and a clear understanding of what truly benefits clients —and what gets in the way.

After seeing what worked (and what didn’t) across the industry, Anthony’s goal was simple: take the best bits, leave the rest, and build a more clients focused service.

It was during his time at a major international bank that Anthony first worked with Jo.

Jo’s interest in numbers and order began early—with an eight-year-old’s Christmas gift: a toy Post Office set. She spent hours stamping paperwork and sorting “transactions”, unknowingly laying the foundations for a career built on precision and people skills. At 16, she took her first real step into finance as a cashier at the then Midland Bank. In the pre-digital days, balancing your till by hand demanded focus and accuracy—standards Jo still carries into her work today.

When Anthony was building out his team within Premier Banking & Wealth, Jo’s natural empathy and ability to put clients at ease made her the clear choice as his relationship manager. Over a decade later, they’ve built a strong professional relationship rooted in shared values and a genuine commitment to doing right by their clients.
